Community Highlights: Meet Sean Hobson of Law Office of Sean M. Hobson
Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Hobson
Hi Sean, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am Attorney Sean M. Hobson, and here is the short version of my legal career.
I decided to go to law school and became a lawyer because I am passionate about helping people; asserting and defending the rights of people to ensure justice is served. I received my JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, class of 2016. During my 2L and 3L years, worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the San Diego County’s Office of the Primary Public Defender, making my first every appearance in a criminal felony case at the North County Division of the San Diego County Superior Court of California.
I started working for a criminal defense firm, where had a caseload of clients ranging from 80 to 120 at any given time. There I was typically in court every day, across the county. There were even days when I had to be in court during the morning at one location, and then back in court during the afternoon at a different location. During that time, I filed and a criminal appeal before the California Court of Appeal, 4th Appellate District, Division 1. To summarize, I received 10 years of practical experience in my first 3 years of practice.
